A description of what I get up to in my new life Down Under

Hellooooo!

Hi again!

Well - the weather is FAB and we are very annoyed with the weather man on TV cos he said Easter would be rainy and it isn't and we turned down a luverly trup to Lake Rotoiti. Sigh...

Never mind - we made up for it by going BOOGIE BOARDING (woohoo) at Muriwai Beach and walking at Duder Park. Luverly.

Here be the flags I did swum, nay boogie board, between. Quite busy for NZ - this was Good Friday where everything is closed to shoppers.

This is where I did me boogie boarding - the waves were AWESOME! Although the photo doesn't really do them justice.

Here be Kev - I think he's eating - I was currently sitting in the shade eating a much deserved bread roll after a couple of hours boarding. Yeah!

Here is our little feijoa and snail gobbler! Isn't he/she a cutie! It was, at the time of photographing, licking our mat which was very wet from washing the windows! Therefore, we gave it some water which it completely ignored! I love watching him potter around the garden and he usually has a sunbathe in the back of the garden around noon!

On the Sunday, we went to one of our favourite walks at Duder Park.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL views!
Here a few pics to prove it:

Wow! And only a short drive from where we live! Lucky old us eh?!

While we were awandering the hulls, we came across a chap in need of a mobile phone due to his yacht having a hole in it and sinking! We duly obliged, he thanked us and wandered off to meet his helper. It's all real here you know!

If you read any of my blog, please leave a message now and then - would be great to hear from you!

Tata fer noo!

x Sue

Hi Sue & Kevin

Certainly looks like you are living the dream out there... better weather too than in the UK. Been none stop rain here for almost 6 weeks, but have you heard we have a drought????

Us nana girls got over our weekend in Morecambe at the end of March for Rebecca H's wedding, beautiful sunny day & lovely to get together again. Lynda & Marg P are now sunning it up in very wet Whitby:(
