Hi all
Just a quick catch up as I have been procrastinating too long and must do some work for school - poops!
Adam and I finally visited the dentist last week (after 2 years of living here)! We went to one recommended by a colleague. It was very good and the dentist was very gentle! My teeth are fine - but the porcelain veneers are getting towards the end of their life and need replacing at some point. Adam has got to have 4 wisdom teeth out - the cost of a return air ticket to the UK! Whew! Poor lad has got to have a surgeon to do it cos they're embedded into his jaw or summink.
Methinks we need to get insurance and soon - cos my veneers are gonna cost a lot more!
Hey ho.
Our kayaks are fab - even though we've only been out on them once! The weather has changed for the worse and it is deffo autumn now - we've had the log burner going for a couple of evenings. The photo below is just outside the shop where we got them in Panmure. Very nice man there and he gave us a good deal!
Here I am - well padded out with life jacket and about 4 layers of clothes! I was boiled by the time I finished but didn't dare take anything off whilst in the boat in case I lost it in the water or fell in!
This is my luverly kayak!
And here's Kev in his! Good fun!
That's Rangitoto Island behind his head - it's a dormant volcano - can see it from most parts of Auckland.
Well gotta go - work is a calling - here is an advert I hear after the traffic news each morning on my way to work:
"Don't want a bigger car? Have a no scalpel vasectomy!"
There you go! All problems solved!
Tara!

PS - Am just off to have a cup of tea and some feijoa cake - got feijoas everywhere at the mo - they've gone mad this year.

Hi Sue - nice kayak, sorry about teeth!! glad you had a fab time in Tonga - Andrea still off with back, needs bigger op than first thought, on another consultants waiting list ..... We've had great weather over here, feels like Summer!! How is Adam getting on (apart from wisdom teeth) love Mary
Adam is fine - seems to be settling in to uni life and making some friends.
He's preparing an essay at the mo and has exams next month to wind up his first 3 papers.
He works Saturdays in Paper Plus (like WHSmith) and the local Irish pub on Fri evenings to earn a bit of dosh.
Glad the weather is good at last for you. It's beautiful here at the mo - clear skies and t-shirt by afternoon. Fleeces and log fires in the evenings.
How's Andrea - gosh it must be quite bad that she needs an op!
Will be in contact soon.
Take care.
x Sue
